Apparently the reaction in opposition to AB 1139 has been overwhelming and unprecedented. I spoke with a veteran legislative analyst close the process who told me that while a typical controversial bill might receive 20 to 30 letters, AB 1139 had already received over 150 letter of opposition as of last week.

Official committee analysis of the bill should be posted 24 hours before the next committee hearing. Since the bill is scheduled to be heard in the Jobs Committee Wed. morning, expect the analysis to be posted here Tues. morning. The analysis will include lists of those who have expressed support or opposition.
