Apparently there was some confusion caused by the press release I referenced regarding the CALED awards.  Here’s the clarification:

The City of Santa Clarita won the Grand Prize Award for the category of the Best Economic Development Program in the State. The program we won for was the “Small Business Support Program.” This is the Third Grand Prize Award the City has won in the last 3 years in this category.

Santa Clarita also won an Award of Excellence for the Santa Clarita Enterprise Zone Marketing Campaign in the Category of Economic Development Promotions. The Long Beach Enterprise Zone Marketing Program won the Grand Prize Award in this same category.
