More Local Government Response to Enterprise Zone Regulatory Proposals

The Mayor and City Manager of the City of Porterville will be heading to Sacramento to make sure their opposition to negative changes to the Enterprise Zone program will be heard at the last public hearing on Feb. 28.

The article is only in the print edition, but according to the Taft Midway Driller, “The Taft City Council voted 4-0 Tuesday night to send the resolution supporting the good work the Enterprise Zones do for the city.”

And according to the Eureka Times-Standard, “The Eureka City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to send a letter to Assemblyman Wesley Chesbro and Senator Noreen Evans opposing proposed state restrictions on business assistance programs called enterprise zones.”
